In this video, I will show you how to update your 2013 Uconnect 8.4A (and 8.4AN) radio to the latest software version (13.15.4). If your vehicle requires an update, it will allow you to download the required file. Once your download is complete, RUN the file, and select a blank USB stick as the destination folder. The software you downloaded, will then decompress an ISO file (SWDL.ISO) into the USB stick.
Once the ISO file has been completely decompressed, you are now ready to proceed with the upgrade. The entire update process should take about 10-15 mins.
This video has been condensed to shorten the total upgrade time. Please be patient during the upgrade for the 'pop up' messages to appear on your screen. DO NOT at any point in time during the upgrade procedure, remove the keys from the ignition, start the vehicle up, or remove the USB. Please wait until the upgrade has been fully complete. Failure to do so, will result in a visit to your dealer for a reset of your Uconnect software.
