Hi, I have probably the first version of EWQLSO Gold, which was for OS9. When I try to install it on Mountain Lion, i get the message that apps for POWERPC not supported. I downloaded the OSX installer from NI Website, but I get the same error message (POWERPC not supported) but the installer says for MAC OSX. How can I install EWQLSO on my new machine?

That is correct. EWQLSO Gold is a discontinued product (for many years now). There is a way to get it installed but it takes several steps. You will have to find access to a computer (Mac or PC) which can run the installer.
You say you have the OS9 version, however, I do know there was eventually an OS X version (even though that installer probably won't run on modern computers). I'm not sure where you might be able to get this. In any case, what you will want to do is: 1) Find some computer that can run the installer, and run it. 2) Don't bother authorizing - no need.
3) Once it's installed, locate the EWQLSO Gold Library folder, and copy it to a drive. 4) Bring that drive to your main current computer, and copy it over. 5) Launch Kontakt 5 (or Kontakt Player - whatever you have) and use the Library Add Library function to add it to your Libraries list. 6) By doing that, it will trigger the authorization process, and you should be able to authorize it normally either through ServiceCenter or directly inside Kontakt. 7) Please make sure to keep a backup of the EWQLSO Library so you can do this again in the future, without having to locate a very old computer that can run it.
